It doesn’t have to be traditional

Life is still very busy in the workshop. Both producing cakes a fitting in appointments for 20010/11 weddings. Certainly the economic climate is causing couples to plan well in advance. They cost and then budget for their cake accordingly.

However one nice side of cake making is variety of cakes we get to create.

 This week we had an African themed wedding, as you can see they went for cup cakes. Building the cakeThere were  4 different African related decorations on the buns; zebra print, drum, shield and hut, all baked in zebra print bun cases. The cake was finished off with the top tier as an African hut.

 The room looked spectacular; look at the chairs and tables which were decorated by Rachael and Holly from Blue Moon. Obviously the number of fairy cakes enhanced the finished presentation, causing it to be 7 tiers tall.
